PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR CHARGES when they appear on your monthly statement, which sometimes could be delayed 45 to 60 days after you completed the class and you may not remember when you took the class or how much you paid for it, a good rule of thumb is to be careful not to challenge a charge especially charges that are in the following amounts:
12 Hr DWI - $100, $120 $135, $35, $45. A charge of $225 or $245 could be a DWI 12 Hr class & Evaluation (+/-$20 difference means whether or not the DWI was paid early $110 or at the door $120 and other combinations, 8 Hr Classes such as AOD, Anger Management, Theft ($150), & DOEP (15 Hr Drug Offender) $125, $135, $50, $75 and $85, etc...
We will receive from time to time a discharge where people see a charge that they forgot about from PayPal or AES and they report it as an unauthorized use of credit card, which is a theft claim against our business. Once it is reported, the bank usually closes that card and issues a new one to the customer and our company is accused of theft by unauthorized use of the card that we were given to complete the transaction.
In a case where it is not taken care of in a timely manner, we will have to cancel the certificates and contact the Probation, Court or the DPS to inform them that the requirements have not been met due to the Offender withdrawing payment. IN addition, even if you were to pay us again, it does not cover the service charge fees that we are charged for the reversals, we are out the costs of the classes, approximately $30 for each item that was purchased, then reversed (even when it was only a $35 dollar charge) so in case of that happening it is an expense.
LATE FEES:
PAYMENTS FOR CLASS ARE DUE BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. A LATE FEE OF $20 WILL BE ADDED TO THE CLASS FEE ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. If you will not be able to pre-pay, you must contact AES before the class start date and make arrangements for the payment to be delayed.
With any payment due for a class, after a grace period of 7 days, Late fees will begin to be applied towards your outstanding balance and the Probation Department of the referring County will be notified. The initial late fee will be $20 and will be increased for each additional week that invoice is outstanding. If there is an effort to work on paying and bring in the outstanding fee current, we will also work in good faith to minimize the late fee additions when there is both communication and efforts being made to address the payment. Probation departments and the State will also be informed of the efforts and/or lack of efforts to remedy the outstanding balance.
